On the road trip, taken in a rented recreational vehicle, Ami creates
memories with his friends, makes peace with his brother, and realizes
his dream to ride a Harley Davidson motorcycle. One of the great quotes

Created by independent film maker Dani Menkin 39 Pounds of Love is an
emotional roller coaster, a fascinating, humorous and truly
inspirational ride through life with a man who overcame his fate. Dani
first saw Ami in a Tel Aviv bar, and was instantly drawn to him.
Arranging to meet Ami at his home some days later, Dani began a
friendship with Ami that would eventually lead to making the film.
This independent film will appeal to a wide range of audiences
including; the Israeli Jewish community, those suffering from Muscular
Dystrophy or Spinal Muscular Atrophy, computer animators, individuals
seeking an uplifting and motivating viewing experience, and even those

Ami now lives in Israel and is immobile, except for one finger, which he
uses to work as a 3D animator. Ami uses his skills as a computer
animator to skillfully construct a story of animation that parallels his
moving journey in the movie.
